About Us
Bowling. Scholarships. Change.
Our mission is to empower youth through bowling, education, and social action, helping them excel, lead, and leave their mark.
Leaders Beyond
the Lanes.
Our vision is to build champions on the lanes and compassionate leaders off them, proving even small actions spark big change.
Founded In 2012
by professional bowlers
and bowling activists
Founded in the early 2000s, the Elite Youth Tour started as a small Midwest bowling circuit for young athletes. Over time, it expanded nationwide, awarding scholarships, producing champions, and building a reputation as a leading platform for youth bowling excellence.

KNOW MORE
Why Leadership Matters
Leadership isn’t just about being the best bowler in the room.
It’s about learning how to show up with confidence.
How to communicate.
How to support others.
How to lead with integrity, whether you’re winning or learning.
At Elite Youth Tour, we believe the lessons learned through bowling can shape who young athletes become far beyond the lanes. Leadership builds self-awareness, resilience, accountability, and the confidence to take ownership of your actions on the lanes, in school, and in life.
The Elite Youth Council exists to help young bowlers develop those skills early, in an environment that challenges them, supports them, and believes in their potential.
What the Elite Youth Council Is
The Elite Youth Council is a leadership group made up of motivated youth bowlers who want to make a positive impact within the Elite Youth Tour community.
Council members serve as ambassadors for Elite Youth Tour, helping represent the values of sportsmanship, respect, leadership, and service. Through collaboration, conversation, and real-world experiences, members learn what it means to lead with purpose.
The Council provides opportunities to:
- Build leadership and communication skills
- Contribute ideas and feedback that help shape Elite Youth Tour
- Support and inspire fellow youth bowlers
- Gain experience working as part of a team with shared values
This is not about titles. It’s about growth, responsibility, and learning how to lead in meaningful ways.
How to Get Involved
The Elite Youth Council is open to youth bowlers who are ready to step into a leadership role and contribute to something bigger than themselves.
To be considered, participants should:
- Be active within the Elite Youth Tour community
- Demonstrate positive sportsmanship and character
- Be willing to participate, share ideas, and support others
Council members are selected through an application process and serve for a designated term. Opportunities and expectations are clearly communicated so families and participants understand the commitment.
If you’re passionate about leadership, growth, and making a difference both on and off the lanes, we encourage you to apply.
Leadership starts with showing up. The Elite Youth Council is where young bowlers learn how to lead with confidence, character, and heart.

FAQ
Who is eligible to receive scholarships through the Elite Youth Tour?
Our scholarships are open to youth bowlers who meet EYT’s age requirements and demonstrate athletic and academic dedication. Eligibility may also require consistent tournament participation and adherence to our sportsmanship standards. Applicants must meet these requirements to ensure fairness and integrity in our scholarship process.
Do I need to submit additional documents to apply for a scholarship?
For most performance-based scholarships, additional documents are not required; scholarships are awarded based on tournament results. However, community-based scholarships like the “Leave Your Mark” award may require supplementary materials, such as an essay or academic records, to demonstrate your broader contributions beyond bowling.
How do I track the scholarship funds I’ve earned from EYT tournaments?
All awarded scholarship funds are managed through the SMART program, which maintains a record of individual scholarship accounts. Students can access their SMART account online to monitor their funds and understand how to apply them toward qualified educational expenses.
How are EYT scholarships funded?
EYT scholarships are funded through a combination of tournament entry fees, sponsor support, and community partnerships. A portion of every event entry goes directly into the scholarship fund, allowing bowlers to compete for meaningful educational awards.
Additional scholarship support comes from our generous sponsors and partners, whose contributions help expand opportunities for youth bowlers and grow the overall impact of the program.
Together, these sources allow EYT to award scholarships while continuing to provide high-quality competitive experiences for young athletes.
What is the maximum scholarship amount I can earn through EYT?
The scholarship amount varies by event and placement. EYT does not have a cap on total scholarships earned; therefore, bowlers can accumulate scholarships over multiple events, increasing their financial support as they continue to participate and excel in our tournaments.
Are there any scholarships for specific groups, like students from diverse backgrounds?
